Scottish Schools Finals Day 2011

  

Netball Scotland would like to once again extend a huge THANK YOU and WELL DONE to all the girls who took part in yesterday’s (Tuesday 26th April 2011) Scottish Schools Cup Finals Day.  We had over 200 girls take part in 8 closely fought finals and Netball Scotland crowned 8 schools as the Scottish Champions.  The finals played throughout the day were;

 

 

 

S1 Silver:  Berwickshire High School (beat Albyn School 30-11)

 

 

 

S2 Silver:  Lomond School (beat the High School of Dundee 12-10)

 

 

S3 Silver:  St Ninians High School (beat the High School of Dundee 32-16)

 

 

 

Open Silver:  Woodmill High School (beat Gryffe High School 53-21)

 

 

 

 

S1 Gold:  Arbroath High School (beat Peebles High School 26-17)

 

 

 

S2 Gold:  Hyndland Secondary (beat Holyrood Secondary 37-13)

 

 

 

S3 Gold:  Peebles High School (beat St Andrews Academy 28-14)

 

 

 

Open Gold:  Anderson High School (beat Holy Cross High School 43-29)

 

*Sophie May Leyland from Anderson was awarded Player of the Tournament by Maggie Murray, CEO of Netball Scotland*

 

Netball Scotland would like to CONGRATULATE all of yesterday’s winners, and we very much look forward to next year’s event for even more fantastic netball from the youth of Scottland.  We would also like to thank all the supporters who travelled through to Edinburgh for the day to cheer on your school teams, the atmosphere in Meadowbank Sports Centre was fantastic.
