The 2011-12 Under 17 District Competition kicked off on Saturday 1st October at Bells Sports Centre in Perth. This was the first time since March that the Districts had come together, and went head to head to fight for a spot in the newly developed Under 17 Performance Tier.
The Performance Tier will consist of the top 6 Districts in Scotland - the remaining Districts would then continue to meet a further twice to play against one another in a Development Tier.
Following on from the results below, the teams being brought forward into Netball Scotland's first ever Performance Tier will be: Borders, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth, Renfrewshire and South Lanarkshire. As this is a new direction for both Netball Scotland and the Districts who compete at this level, we are taking each day as it comes and using this season as something of a transitional year, in the hope that by the end of the season we will have a fantastic set up to take the competition level forward. Netball Scotland would like to thank all involved for their patience at this time, and we will keep you informed as often as we possibly can.
Congratulations to all players who have been selected to represent their District in netball, we look forward to watching your development over the next few months.
