Wai Has High Hopes for the Scottish Thistles in 2014!

6th December 2011

Following the hugely successful visit from Netball New Zealand last week, we managed to get Wai Taumaunu (New Zealand Silver Ferns Head Coach and netball legend) onto our favourite BBC Radio Scotland sports programme - Sport Nation with John Beattie and Rhona McLeod.

Wai was featured on Saturday's show (Saturday 3rd December 2011) and you can listen in to what she had to say about the Scottish Thistles, about 2014 and about netball in general by clicking on this link.  Wai appears from 41 minutes 48 seconds until 45 minutes 50 seconds.

Enjoy!

Also in the world of media this week, Scottish Thistle star Claire Brownie has been getting radio attention as the Aberdeen golden girl returns to home soil to play in front of family, friends, and former netball rivals, at the Aberdeen Sports Village.  Claire will, as always, play an integral part in the Thistle's performance against close rivals Wales in this weekend's tri-Test series.

Aberdeen local radio station Northsound interviewed Claire in the past few days and coverage of that interview can be heard by clicking on the link below.  Please note this is a Windows Media Player file.

Many thanks to Radio Northsound (http://www.northsound.co.uk) and to Steven McMenemy who interviewed Claire.
