Friday 9th November 2007 is the bid announcement for the 2014 Commonwealth Games. 

On that day the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) will meet in Colombo, Sri Lanka, for their General Assembly. All 71 countries and territories of the Commonwealth will vote on who will host the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

You can share in the excitement of decision day when Glasgow, Scotland and the whole Commonwealth find out if we are first across the line, by turning on the television, tuning in your radio or clicking online. Watch the build-up live from Sri Lanka on BBC Scotland from 12.15PM or on STV from 12.30PM, with the announcement expected at approximately 12.45PM.

Netball is a core sport in Glasgow's Bid and we hope all the membership can get behind the commonwealth campaign. 

Furthermore we are asking you to show your support for the bid by wearing sports clothes to school or work on Friday 9th November.
