Netball Scotland’s first ever FastNet tournament went down an absolute treat at the Gorbals Leisure Centre, Glasgow on Saturday 3^rd September.  We had 6 teams taking part; Team ACE, The Y Nots, Hamilton, Saltires, Claremont and Harmony Row.

The games were closely contested throughout the day, more so when the players started to get into the swing of things and were using the Power Play and making many attempts at the 2 point goals.  The crowd that gathered got behind each team and the atmosphere was brilliant.  We look forward to hosting even more teams at next year’s event.

At the end of the day we had a couple of prizes to dish out:

The wooden spoons for the day’s play went to Hamilton.

The overall winners of the day were The Y Nots.

Netball Scotland then dished out an award for Hot Shot of the Tournament – which went to Saltires Beverly Campbell.

Finally, the most prestigious award of the day, Most Entertaining, and this went to Netball Scotland legend Mary Ann Cosgrove.

A fantastic time had by all on Saturday and we look forward to repeating this in the near future!!
