This competition took place on Sunday 6th December in Meadowbank Sports Centre, Edinburgh. We had a good entry of 13 teams from throughout the country– from Aberdeen down to Ayrshire. Two more teams arrived on the day making it difficult to fit all the teams onto two courts and give adequate playing time. However, Anne Hamilton (Edinburgh) managed to secure a third court, the fixtures were quickly rearranged and from then on everything went very well indeed!

Umpiring was once again a problem with many teams unable to find a B Umpire. The umpires who were there on the day obliged by umpiring for other districts – so a big thank you to all who helped out!

The final was a Round Robin for the winning teams in the three sections. These were South Lanarkshire A, South Lanarkshire B and Aberdeen A.
