Volunteer Web Designer

Netball Scotland are looking for a Volunteer

to help with their website

 

At Netball Scotland we are entering an exciting period of change. Positive development and increased funding from Sportscotland, means we are getting our entire house in order. But, we need the help additional skills and expertise of a willing Web developer/designer to assist us in the important area of our website. This will enable us to reach out and keep members up to date, attract interest and develop our overall profile.  It’s probably a one off task, but if we get it right you will have been a part of the exciting revolution that is happening in the world of Netball and we really need your help!

We now have our new CEO (Anne Ward), taking care of all the incredibly important detail of the business. Anne will be ably assisted by a number of new staff taking care of a plethora of tasks, to complement our existing and truly excellent team of full time Netball Scotland staff.  We also have our first ever full time National Coach the incredibly talented (Denise Holland), who is taking care of both our national squad and the new franchise team – Glasgow Wildcats.

The current board has an incredibly talented line up of hard working board directors, each of whom have their own particular skills they bring to bear in the running of a Governing Body. Our newest recruit is a well known Netball supremo, Mary Ann Cosgrove, and as our Performance Director is working to a punishing schedule of events with Denise to ensure we have the best Netball squad in Scotland.

For the past 2 years we have made enormous strides forward under the stewardship of our former chair Brian McKelvie, and as we enter into a period of media frenzy, involving a complex relationship with the franchise team of the new Glasgow Wildcats (with Glasgow Culture and Sport), we want to be sure that we fully capitalize on all the positive media attention we are sure to get once the new NSL season kicks off. We would ensure you get help working alongside Glasgow Culture and Sport, our main partners  in the new franchise and they will assist us get our  joint message across in the particular medium on internet communications.

Ideally you will have a sound background in IT. It would be preferable if you have a love and passion of our game. The rewards will be immense as we see Netball take the long-overdue credit and increased profile as we work towards Glasgow 2014 and work through the NSL game schedule. To have been a part of this challenge would be an excellent addition to any budding web designer’s c.v.
