Anne Clark, the National Coach, has announced the World Championships Squad representing Scotland this November.  The following have been selected :

Lesley MacDonald, Lesley Anne Dall, Anna Ferguson, Claire Cooper, Gail Higgins, Hayley Mulheron (all Scotstoun) Morag Fraser (Bellahouston), Sharyn Lyon (Glasgow South Saltires), Karin Connell (Bellshill), Carlene Hamilton (Edinburgh Netball Club), Claudia Henison (Northern Thunder), Lisa Vosti Harper (Beacon).

Emily Salvesen, General Manager for Netball Scotland, stated “It is terrific for all these players who have represented nearly all netball’s districts in Scotland in their elite careers, to head to the current elite home of netball to play in this premier event.  Our best wishes go with them as they compete.  We can only hope that Glasgow’s 2014 bid is successful to jump start our positive momentum on November 9th - before the squad’s first game in what will be  a very challenging group section of the World Championships ! ”

The team will play final warmup matches before heading to New Zealand on 6th and 7th October 2007 in Glasgow against Wales and the England U21 Side.
