DESCRIPTION:RecNet “Come & Try” Festival\nGet inspired. Get active. Get involved. \nThis summer\, we invited anyone aged 18+ to step onto the court and give netball a go! Inspired by the energy and excitement of the Commonwealth Games\, and funded by the Glasgow 2026 Festival Fund\, our FREE “Come & Try” RecNet Sessions have been the perfect way to get active\, make new friends\, and fall in love with netball. \nTo round off all of the great sessions that have taken place\, we have organised a RecNet “Come & Try” Festival for everyone to come together\, put what they’ve learnt into action\, learn more new skills\, meet new people\, and – most importantly – have fun! It is going to be a fun-filled day of netball activities and great chat – you really don’t want to miss it! \nFestival Details\n\nDate: Sunday 9th August\nTime: 10:00-14:00\nVenue: Glasgow Club Castlemilk\, 28 Dougrie Rd\, Glasgow\, G45 9NH\nPrice: FREE!\n\nWho can take part?\n\nAdults aged 18+\nOpen to all genders and abilities\nNo experience needed!\n\nWhat to expect:\n\nA welcoming space for all genders and abilities\nAn opportunity to meet new people and socialise\nA chance to put your netball skills into action (and learn some new ones)\nFun games & skill-based activities\nTeam challenges and match play\n\nIf you find yourself hooked from the “Come & Try” sessions this Summer and are looking for more opportunities to get involved in netball\, we will be happy to point you in the direction of your nearest RecNet club so that you can continue your netball journey! \n\nSpaces are limited — don’t miss out! \nIt is free to sign-up\, but you must order a ticket to secure your place at the festival. \nBookings are open up until the day of the festival!
