DESCRIPTION:Get inspired. Get active. Get involved. \nThis summer\, we’re inviting anyone aged 18+ to step onto the court and give netball a go! Inspired by the energy and excitement of the Commonwealth Games\, and funded by the Glasgow 2026 Festival Fund\, our FREE “Come & Try” RecNet Sessions are the perfect way to get active\, make new friends\, and fall in love with netball. \nRecNet (recreational netball) is a fun and social version of the game\, designed for adults of all backgrounds and abilities. The format is relaxed\, welcoming\, and deliberately non-competitive. There is no pressure to win and it is simply about enjoying the game. \nWhether you’re completely new to the sport or have played a little in the past\, these sessions are all about having fun\, teamwork\, and trying something new in a friendly and supportive environment. \nWhat to expect:\n\nA chance to learn the basics of netball\nA chance to build on your skills week after week\nA welcoming space for all genders and abilities\nAn opportunity to meet new people and socialise\nFun games & skill-based activities\nTeam challenges and match play\n\nThe hour long sessions will run over 4 weeks in 6 different locations\, giving participants plenty of time to develop skills and enjoy the game. \nFeel free to come along 1 week or every week\, in 1 location or every location! The sessions are spread across across the week and across the city to give everyone the chance to come as often as they like! \nAfter 4 weeks of sessions\, we will be throwing a RecNet Celebration Festival and inviting everyone that took part in the sessions to come along for a fun-filled day of netball games and activities\, which you won’t want to miss! \nIf you find yourself hooked from the sessions and looking for more opportunities to get involved in netball\, we will be happy to sign-post you to your nearest RecNet club so that you can continue playing for fun. \n\nSession Details:\n\nDates: Thursday 9th\, 16th\, 23rd\, 30th July\nTime: 19:00-20:00\nVenue: Glasgow Club Bellahouston\, Bellahouston Sports Centre\, 31 Bellahouston Drive\, Glasgow\, G52 1HH\nPrice: FREE!\n\n\nWho can take part?\n\nAdults aged 18+\nOpen to all genders and abilities\nNo experience needed!\n\nSpaces are limited — don’t miss out! \nIt is free to sign-up\, but you must order a ticket to secure your place at the sessions. \nBookings are open up until the start time of each session!

DESCRIPTION:FREE Cerebral Palsy Walking Netball Come & Try Sessions – Glasgow \nLooking to get active\, meet new people\, and have fun in a welcoming environment? Why not come along and try Walking Netball? \nWalking Netball is a fun\, inclusive\, and low-impact version of the game\, making it suitable for all abilities and fitness levels. Whether you’ve played netball before or are completely new to the sport\, everyone is welcome. \nAll sessions are FREE to attend and will be delivered by qualified Walking Netball coaches\, who will provide a supportive and enjoyable experience for all participants. \nWho Can Attend? \nThese sessions are open to ADULTS of all abilities. Individuals with cerebral palsy are warmly encouraged to attend. As Walking Netball is played while remaining on your feet and moving at a walking pace\, participants should be ambulant. If you have any questions about whether the session is suitable for you\, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss your individual needs and any support that may help you participate. \nSession Dates & Venues \nTime: 1200-1400 \n📍 3 July – Bellahouston Sports Centre \n📍 9 July – Springburn Sports Centre \n📍 15 July – Kelvinhall \n📍 29 July – Kelvinhall \nTo celebrate the programme\, participants will also be invited to attend our: \n🏐 Walking Netball Festival\n📅 6 August\n📍 Springburn Sports Centre \nThis festival event will bring participants together from across the programme for a fun day of Walking Netball\, socialising\, and celebration. \nQualified coaches\, all equipment provided\, and completely FREE to attend. \nCome along\, give it a go\, and discover why Walking Netball is one of the fastest-growing ways to stay active and connected within your community! \nWhat to Expect \n\nA warm and friendly welcome from our qualified Walking Netball coaches.\nFun and engaging activities designed for all abilities and experience levels.\nAn introduction to the basic rules and skills of Walking Netball.\nOpportunities to meet new people and be part of a supportive community.\nA relaxed\, inclusive environment where everyone can participate at their own pace.\nAll equipment provided – just wear comfortable clothing and suitable footwear.\nPlenty of opportunities to ask questions and learn more about how to get involved in Walking Netball locally.\n\nNo previous netball experience is required\, and all sessions are completely FREE to attend.
