CLUB DEVELOPMENT

CLUB FRAMEWORK

Netball clubs are the essential foundation of our sport and are where many of our members enter our sport for the very first time, so it is essential that we ensure that they are safe, robust, inclusive and well supported.

Our new club framework, at the heart of the Netball Scotland logo, is built around three main pillars:

  1. Culture: clubs should aim to create and embed a culture that promotes positive values, attitudes and behaviours in a thriving, safe and inclusive environment.
  2. People: clubs should ensure the appropriate recruitment, development and recognition of all people contributing to the clubs’ ambitions both on and off the court; and finally
  3. Management: clubs should have everything in place to make the day to day running of the club more efficient and effective.

By ensuring that the elements of these three key pillars are practically put in place by our Clubs, we will continue to build on our strong foundation and will support netball in Scotland to reach its full potential.

Along with the launch of the new Club Framework, affiliated clubs now also have access to a suite of new resources and templates and the Club Self Assessment Tool, all to ensure every club has everything they need to achieve the new Thistle Mark Standard. And, as always, the National Development Managers are here and ready to help you with all of your club development needs, starting with the delivery of the free digital Club Development Series and through an annual calendar of Club Development CPD.
