What is RecNet?

The Recreational Netball (RecNet), formerly BBN concept is a legacy initiative designed by Netball Scotland to respond to the positive impact of Netball on the Scottish public following the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
RecNet, is a delightful twist on the traditional netball game. It’s a social and inclusive program designed for adults of all backgrounds and abilities. Whether you’re a netball newbie, haven’t played since school, or simply want to enjoy the game without the competitive pressure, RecNet is perfect for you.

How RecNet Differs:
💫Non-Competitive: Unlike traditional netball, RecNet is non-competitive. There are no scores, rankings, or pressure to win. It’s about enjoying the game, not stressing over results.
👫Mixed Teams: RecNet often features mixed-gender teams, breaking away from the gender-specific setup of traditional netball. This encourages diversity and inclusivity.
👟Casual Attire: No need for uniforms or specialized sports gear. Wear comfortable clothing and trainers, and you’re ready to play.
Upcoming Events:
Please note that Netball Scotland club affiliation is needed to participate in RecNet festivals, and festival players must hold a Level 2 / Social membership.
