This summer, we’re inviting anyone aged 18+ to step onto the court and give netball a go! Inspired by the energy and excitement of the Commonwealth Games, and funded by the Glasgow 2026 Festival Fund, our FREE “Come & Try” RecNet Sessions are the perfect way to get active, make new friends, and fall in love with netball.

RecNet (recreational netball) is a fun and social version of the game, designed for adults of all backgrounds and abilities. The format is relaxed, welcoming, and deliberately non-competitive. There is no pressure to win and it is simply about enjoying the game.

Whether you’re completely new to the sport or have played a little in the past, these sessions are all about having fun, teamwork, and trying something new in a friendly and supportive environment.

What to expect:

• A chance to learn the basics of netball
• A chance to build on your skills week after week
• A welcoming space for all genders and abilities
• An opportunity to meet new people and socialise
• Fun games & skill-based activities
• Team challenges and match play

The hour long sessions will run over 4 weeks in 6 different locations, giving participants plenty of time to develop skills and enjoy the game.

Feel free to come along 1 week or every week, in 1 location or every location! The sessions are spread across across the week and across the city to give everyone the chance to come as often as they like!

After 4 weeks of sessions, we will be throwing a RecNet Celebration Festival and inviting everyone that took part in the sessions to come along for a fun-filled day of netball games and activities, which you won’t want to miss!

If you find yourself hooked from the sessions and looking for more opportunities to get involved in netball, we will be happy to sign-post you to your nearest RecNet club so that you can continue playing for fun.
