Schools Engagement Pack

Netball Scotland offers a range of high-quality resources designed to support schools in delivering fun, inclusive and engaging netball experiences. Our resources are suitable for pupils of all abilities and are easy to use, even for teachers with little or no prior experience of netball.

Primary schools can access three practical resource packs, each containing six weeks of content. These sessions focus on developing the fundamental skills of netball in a progressive and enjoyable way. The resources are designed for children with or without previous netball experience and include clear guidance, making them ideal for teachers who are new to the sport.

For secondary schools, we offer a comprehensive 18-week resource that can be adapted to suit pupils from S1–S6 and a wide range of ability levels. The programme begins with fundamental skills and concepts before progressing into gameplay, tactics and strategies, allowing teachers to tailor sessions to meet the needs of their classes.

In addition, Netball Scotland provides a Schools Engagement Pack for both primary and secondary schools. This classroom-based resource helps pupils explore the Commonwealth Games through a netball-themed, cross-curricular approach. The pack includes a wide range of flexible activities such as:

  • Word searches and quizzes
  • English- and maths-based tasks
  • Research challenges
  • Creative and discussion-based activities

Designed to be highly adaptable, the pack can be used as a short classroom activity or as part of a longer, more structured lesson.
