Overview
Last season’s third-place finishers Bellahouston enter this season with a rich blend of experience, flair, and fresh talent. Known for their dynamic play style—combining defensive hustle, attacking finesse, and adaptability—they are determined to build on last season’s successes, including their Scottish Cup victory. Led by head coach Fiona Metcalfe, the team emphasises hard work, positivity, and unity. Key players like Caitlin Pringle in defence, Maddy McGuinness in attack, and Emma Creighton at goal shooter are looking to once again make their mark on the competition. Coming off a short preseason window, Bellahouston are ready to fight to make the playoffs and more this season.

Team updates
Bellahouston’s National League squad remains largely unchanged from last season. Strong middie, Iona Campbell, has moved to Abu Dhabi for work, and young up-and-comer Beth Logan is on a university placement in Australia. Both player’s departures have created opportunities for the club to promote from within. Playmaker Caitlin Parry moves up from the second team bringing with her a strong engine and the ability to learn quickly. Returning to the club is former Bella Junior Oriana Smith who joins from Strathclyde.

First Match:
Bellahouston begin their season by taking on newcomers Scotstoun Storm in the third match of the day at 12.55 at the Pleasance in Edinburgh. Bellahouston will be looking to carry last season’s form into their first match, while Storm will be looking to place a marker down and justify their inclusion in the league.
