Overview
Edinburgh Accies Netball enters the new season with a renewed sense of purpose and a solid foundation. Retaining much of their core squad, and under the leadership of head coach Helen Taylor, they are aiming to play a fearless, direct, and confident brand of netball while embracing a fun, player-first culture. With a rigorous preseason under their belts, Accies are ready to compete at the highest level.

The is mostly unchanged from last season with a few additions to both their defensive end and shooting end. They welcome New Zealander Hannah Bree and Gemma Sole, who returns to the side after giving birth to her son Connor.

We’ve worked hard in preseason, blending fitness with fun to build a cohesive and determined squad. I’m proud of the culture we’ve created, where the players support each other both on and off the court. We’re ready to take on every challenge this season brings.”

Captain, Beth Weir: “This season feels like a fresh chapter for us with a great mix of experienced players and new talent. Helen has brought a winning mentality and confidence to the squad, which has transformed how we approach the game. As captain, I’m focused on leading by example and ensuring we stay united as a team both on and off the court. We’re excited to showcase the work we’ve put in and make this season one to remember.”
First Match:
Edinburgh Acciess begin their season by taking on last year’s second-place finishers Strathclyde University in the second match of the day at 11.15 at Pleasance in Edinburgh. Last season’s clash between the two sides in March saw Strathclyde come out 54-59 victors.
