Nominations Open for the 2025/26 Netball Scotland Annual Awards

Netball Scotland is delighted to open nominations for the 2025/26 Annual Awards, celebrating the volunteers, coaches, officials, clubs and young people who make an outstanding contribution to netball across Scotland.

The Annual Awards provide an opportunity to recognise the people who give their time, talent and passion to help our sport thrive. From schools and community clubs to local associations and the national stage, these awards shine a spotlight on those making a lasting impact throughout the season.

Nominations are now open across nine categories:

  • Volunteer of the Year
  • Umpire of the Year
  • Match Bench Official of the Year
  • Junior Club of the Year
  • Senior Club of the Year
  • RecNet/Walking Netball Club of the Year
  • School Achiever of the Year
  • The Eilish Herron Young Coach of the Year
  • Club Coach of the Year

Whether it is a volunteer who goes above and beyond, a coach creating a positive environment, an official supporting the development of the game or a club making a difference within its community, we want to hear their story.

Key dates

Monday 27 July: Nomination period opens
Sunday 30 August: Nominations close at 11.59pm
31 August–4 September: Judging process
Week commencing 7 September: Winners announced online and through Netball Scotland’s social media channels
Saturday 26 September: Winners presented and recognised during the Netball World Cup Qualifiers at Playsport Arena, East Kilbride

Last season’s recipients included representatives from Clydesdale Netball Club, Edinburgh University, Elements Netball, Kinross Rec Netball, Accies Netball Club, Thurso Netball Club and Queensferry High School.
