Remember, we will be promoting your photos and videos across our socials again this year, along with Race for Life team, so please be sure to tag @netballscotland and @raceforlife and use the hashtag #NSPlayitPink so we can see and share all your fantastic pink outfits.

Cancer Research UK’s Race For Life & Pretty Muddy Events

These events are full of everyday people doing an extraordinary thing – helping to beat cancer.

  • With the Race for Life you can run, jog or walk 5K, or if you feel up for it, push yourself with a 10K.
  • Feel like something a little muddier? Why not take on the 5k Pretty Muddy obstacle course and crawl, climb and slide your way to the finish line.

With events from Glasgow and Edinburgh, to Stirling and Fife, there is sure to be a Race For Life or Pretty Muddy event for you!

As a thank you for taking part in the NS Play it Pink week, the Race for Life team have given us an exclusive discount that entitles all Netball Scotland members money off the entry fees to Race for Life and Pretty Muddy events. Our exclusive code will be emailed to all active members during our Play it Pink week!

Netball Scotland Play It Pink

Earlier this month we very excitedly announced to our members that Netball Scotland will be working with Cancer Research UK this year to support their Race For Life events across Scotland.  From Glasgow and Edinburgh, to Inverness and Aberdeen, there is sure to be a Race For Life event for you.  Run, jog or walk a 5K or push yourself with a 10K.  Or, take on Pretty Muddy, an obstacle course that has women of all abilities crawl through tunnels, bounce on space hoppers and slip down mudslides (look out for the Netball Scotland staff team who are looking to do exactly that!).

To kick things off, the Scottish Thistles were very privileged to invite 9 year old Amy (pictured with the team above), a cancer survivor who runs the Race For Life every year with her mum, down to the Emirates Arena for a special behind the scenes tour and meet and greet.  Read all about their time together here.
