Level 2 + Programme – Coaches Announced

Congratulations to the following 6 netball coaches who have been selected to participate in the Level 2 + programme over the next season.
The Coaches are:
Nicola Laing – West Lothian Wild Cats, West Lothian
Ruth Henderson – Stirling Netball Club & Forth Valley District, Stirlingshire
Carly Park – Helensburgh Netball Club & Glasgow District, Glasgow
Julie Bateman – Braes Blazers Netball Club, Falkirk & National Hub Coach
Katy McGregor – Dunedin Netball Club, Edinburgh
Sarah Prescot – Dunedin Netball Club, Edinburgh
The Level 2+ Programme is a learning programme developed and established by a collective group of Scottish Governing Bodies of Sport in recognition of the gap between Level 2 and Level 3 in the Coaching Pathway across a variety of sports.
The programme is designed to provide a learning programme to bridge this gap and widen the experiences of coaches through a variety of cross-sport and sport-specific learning opportunities appropriate to the level and experience of the coaches involved.
The L2+ Programme has the following aims:
- Offer an alternative to or a stepping stone towards Level 3qualification
- Provide support for high performing coaches at development levels of the pathway
- Provide an opportunity for cross sport learning and networking with coaches from other sports
- Provide a bespoke award that meets the needs of a select group of coaches integral to a world class sporting system
