Permitted Activity Update – Effective from 19th July 2021

In line with publication of the Scottish Government’s Framework, Netball Scotland will, on the 19th July 2021 move to Phase D of our #SafetyNet Return to Netball Roadmap
This means that from 19th July 2021 all netball activities are permitted, indoors and outdoors for all age groups.

Netball Scotland’s Permitted Activity is aligned to the Scottish Government’s own phased exit protection level restrictions, and in line with consultation from sportscotland.
We continue to request all clubs to consider player welfare and take full care and consideration when assessing the provision of netball. It remains a mandatory requirement for all Netball Scotland Clubs and Local Associations to appoint and register a COVID-19 Officer (COVID officer) and that they complete the e-learning module which is available here before returning to outdoor or indoor training. The appointed COVID-19 Officer should ensure all appropriate management processes are in place so that they can effectively oversee and maintain the implementation of measures outlined in the Netball Scotland Return to Netball guidance document.
All Netball Scotland Clubs and Local Associations still have the option to operate implementing the Modified Game.

Protecting all of us, takes all of us. As restrictions are eased, it is vital that we continue to:
- maintain and promote good ventilation
- wear face coverings in certain settings
- physically distance in certain settings
- use good hand and respiratory hygiene and surface cleaning
- stay at home and book a test if you develop coronavirus symptoms
- work from home where possible and appropriate
We are delighted that these changes mean that we can continue to progress with our #ReturnToSport campaign which aims to increase opportunities for all members over the summer months as we continue to return to the sport we all know and love!
#NetballReady clubs have already been embracing our #NetsGoOutdoors campaign, a new and exciting direction for our sport and one we hope to see as a permanent option for the future of netball.
