Round 5 of National League saw another thrilling day of netball, as Bellahouston extended their lead at the top, while the battle in the middle of the table is tighter than ever.
Edinburgh University vs Bellahouston Netball
Bellahouston surged to the top of the standings, keeping their perfect season alive with a commanding 64-48 victory over Edinburgh University.
Fueled by Emma Creighton’s blistering 90% shooting, Bellahouston jumped to a 17-11 lead in the first quarter. Edinburgh fought back with a competitive second period, but Bellahouston responded with relentless pressure in the third.
A 19-15 third-quarter advantage set the tone before a controlled 13-10 final quarter sealed the emphatic win. Now in full control of their fate, Bellahouston will confirm first position if they can record a victory in Round 6.

Scotstoun Storm vs Strathclyde University
Strathclyde University delivered a dominant 77-27 victory over Scotstoun Storm on Sunday, closing out Round 5 of National League play in emphatic fashion.
The late inclusion of Thistle star Emma Barrie proved pivotal, as she controlled the game from start to finish. A blistering 19-4 opening quarter set the tone, and Strathclyde never took their foot off the gas.
With commanding quarter scores of 21-6, 17-8, and 20-9, Strathclyde solidified their push for a semi-final spot, drawing level with Edinburgh University in second place.

Glasgow Saltires vs Dunedin
Dunedin secured their second win of the season with a commanding 50-41 victory over Glasgow Saltires. The opening quarter was a tight contest, with both teams locked at 5-5 before a late surge gave Dunedin a 12-7 edge at the first break.
From there, Dunedin took control, extending their dominance through the second and third quarters. Spearheaded by GS Zoe Rennie and the relentless efforts of C Chloe Alexander, they built a commanding 43-22 lead heading into the final period.
Saltires fought back with renewed energy in the fourth, finishing strong with a 19-7 quarter win—taking momentum and confidence into their Round 6 clash.

Edinburgh Accies vs University of Glasgow
Edinburgh Accies cemented their top-four spot with a dominant 89-40 win over the University of Glasgow. Bursting out of the gates, they netted 23 first-quarter goals, setting the tone for a commanding performance.
Veterans Jo Pettit and Gemma Sole led the charge, orchestrating a relentless scoring display. Accies maintained their intensity across all four quarters, sealing the victory with a 19-10 final period. With two regular-season rounds remaining, they hold firm in fourth place.

Round 6 of National League will be played at Glasgow University, on Sunday 19 April where Dunedin will play Scotstoun Storm, Glasgow Saltires face Strathclyde Uni, Glasgow Uni take on Edinburgh Uni and Edinburgh Accies go up against top of the table Bellahouston. Get your tickets HERE
