Bellahouston v Strathclyde Uni
In the opening clash of Round Seven, Strathclyde University faced Bellahouston with the top spot on the ladder up for grabs. Strathclyde came out firing, racing to a 14–7 lead by the end of the first quarter. Bellahouston responded with a strong second quarter, edging it 16–13 to narrow the gap. But Strathclyde answered emphatically after halftime, dominating the third quarter 18–7 to take control of the contest. They carried that momentum into the final term, closing out the game with a commanding 20–11 quarter to seal a 65–41 victory and claim top position heading into the semi-finals in two weeks’ time.

Edinburgh Accies v Glasgow Saltires
Edinburgh Accies exploded out of the gates with a dominant 19–8 first quarter against the Glasgow Saltires. The intensity lifted in the second quarter, with both sides trading blows in a fast-paced, high-scoring spell that challenged both defences. But the early damage was done, and the Saltires were left playing catch-up for the rest of the game. They finished strongly, edging the final quarter 15–11, but it wasn’t enough to close the gap as Accies held firm for a 64–51 win.

Dunedin v Glasgow Uni
Dunedin closed out their season in style with a convincing 52–32 win over the University of Glasgow. The opening quarter was a tight contest, but Dunedin found late momentum to take a 13–8 lead into the first break. They extended their advantage with a 15–8 second quarter, heading into halftime up by 12. The second half saw more composed play from Dunedin, who secured the third and fourth quarters 13–9 and 11–7 respectively. The result capped off a solid campaign, earning them four wins and a fifth-place finish on the ladder.

Scotstoun Storm v Edinburgh Uni
In one of the matches of the season, Edinburgh University edged out Scotstoun Storm 48–45 in a thrilling contest. Edinburgh looked set for a comfortable win after a dominant 15–8 opening quarter, but Scotstoun refused to roll over, clawing back to within five points by halftime. The momentum continued to shift in the third, as the Storm trimmed the margin to just three with a 15–13 quarter. The final term was a tense, goal-for-goal battle, with the teams locked at 44–44 in the closing minutes. But it was Edinburgh who held their nerve, scoring three of the last four goals to secure a gripping victory — and with it, second place on the ladder heading into the finals.

The stage is set for an exciting semi-final showdown at the Pleasance in Edinburgh on May 11. Top-ranked Strathclyde Uni will face Bellahouston in a rematch of their Round Seven clash, while local rivals Edinburgh University and Edinburgh Accies will go head-to-head in the 2nd vs 3rd battle. The winners will advance to the Grand Final on May 25, while the remaining teams will contest the third-place match on the same day.
