Relive the Joy of Play at the RecNet Festival

When’s the last time you spent the whole day playing and laughing with friends? That’s exactly the experience our RecNet clubs had at the recent festival in Dundee. Ten teams, 117 players, and a shared passion for netball turned the day into an unforgettable celebration.

“We laughed from the first whistle to the last,” said a grinning player from Seven Lochs, summing up the day’s mood. It wasn’t just about the scores; it was about those moments that remind us why we love netball.
Another participant from the West Lothian echoed the sentiment: “It’s just so fun, you have a giggle, you don’t actually feel like you’re exercising because you’re running about, laughing, having a good time, but also have that competitive streak. If you said to me at the side, ‘go and run 5 laps of this hall,’ I’d be like, ‘oh, I couldn’t.’ But because I’ve got a ball coming towards me it’s just, yeah, it’s brilliant. It reminds me of being at school, and I loved it at school and still love it now.”
