Strathclyde Sirens Seek Chairperson

13th December 2018

Who We Are

Scottish Sirens Ltd, operating as Strathclyde Sirens, is Scotland’s only semi-professional female sports team with a TV broadcast deal. Competing in the UK wide, Sky Sports televised Vitality Netball Superleague, owned by Netball Scotland Ltd and strategically partnered with the University of Strathclyde, the Sirens are far more than just a team in a League and have been recognised globally for their impact on the women’s sport agenda.

Just two years old, and heading into their third, and most significant, season to date, the Strathclyde Sirens have big aspirations to accelerate the growth of netball in Scotland and to change the landscape for women’s sport domestically. To do this they require visionary leadership through a strong and commercially astute Board of Directors.

Sirens’ Vision & Mission Statement

Our vision is to be the best Franchise in the Netball Superleague, both on and off the court. We will do this by:

  • building a strong and successful team that challenges for the League title each year,
  • creating an inspirational and leading sports brand,
  • and being at the forefront of the women in sport movement, educating and exciting new and existing audiences, and delivering real, meaningful impact to the women and girls of Scotland.

We are looking for a visionary leader to head up a Board of dynamic and highly skilled Directors in this exciting, but critical, growth phase of the business.
